The Mitchell's: labor day!

i know, i know. i've been slacking on posting new stuff, but i'm back =] we had all weekend off, which was nice! Matt got a 96 (96 hours=4days off) so we just hung around here and didn't really do much of anything! Thursday night, my aunt Barbara and my mom came in! They were on their way to the beach for a long weekend and decided to stop in and see us! =] Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of us all together, oh well!

On Saturday, Matt & I drove to New Bern! We thought there was lots of stuff to do there, but NOPE! We got there and saw nothing, haha. We probably just didn't look around hard enough. The water was beautiful though. They had some cute specialty shops, but nothing really up our alley. Except a dog bakery, lol. Prettty much the ONLY attraction there was Tryon Palace (i think that's the name). It was kind of unexpected, because you were just driving through this very underdeveloped part of town, and all of the sudden BAM there's a palace! haha, very random. Anyways, we didn't end up going in, but we went to the gift shop and just looked from the outside, very cool!

So you know I love to show off our babies =] Sydney got some new boots (Maverick did too but they were too small). Turns out, they match a raincoat she already had and she was just SO cute in them!

I also got a funny video of her getting used to walking in them! hahah

And of course, just because I think they are the cutest things alive, here is a recent picture of them both just hanging out on the steps =] such personality..

I know I tend to show Sydney off more than Maverick, mostly because we've just had her longer and have more pictures. He's also really hyper and always running around, so it's hard to get him to sit still long enough to snap a camera. But i'm slowly starting to get some really good shots of Maverick, here is one of my new favorites!
